Stature::StatueStature::Statue are a Brisbane post-punk band cemented in the local music scene, having played over fifty shows alongside the likes of Yeasayer, The Vines, The Mint Chicks, The Scare and Die, Die, Die. The Stature::Statue “Hear No Evil” poster was based on the three wise monkeys mythology of ‘See No Evil, Speak No Evil and Hear No Evil’. The band requested that images of skulls be used in the poster. Skulls mimicking the three wise monkeys were hand drawn and then digitally altered. The colours and lines used in the artwork denote veins and blood ties between the members of the various Brisbane band at the event, many of which are in more than one of the bands performing on the evening. |  |  |  |
